PANAMA CITY BEACH – A man arrested in a cold case murder will be in court Monday for an arraignment.
Panama City Beach police arrested 48 year old Christopher Hyler last month, nearly three years after they say he shot and killed local builder Bobby Ellison.
Ellison was building the new sanctuary for the First Baptist Church of Panama City Beach. His body was found August 10, 2010 in the on-site construction office.
Investigators chased dead-end leads for 16-months before they finally received a tip on Hyler.
Police say Hyler rented a home from Ellison and knew him and his wife fairly well.
Beach police haven't given a motive for the killing.
