The man arrested in Lynn Haven for killing and eating a homeless man last year will be tried for murder tomorrow.
Tyree Smith is the alleged cannibal killer from Bridgeport, Conn.
Police say Smith showed up at a relative's residence covered in blood on January 24, 2012 and confessed he had killed a homeless man with a hatchet.
Officials say he then ate pieces of the man's brains and his eye.
Police say Smith then left Connecticut on a Greyhound bus for Panama City.
He arrived here January 23rd and was arrested the next day by the U.S. Marshall's Service North Florida Regional Task Force, the FBI, FDLE, Bay County Sheriff's Office and Lynn Haven Police.
Smith will now face a three-judge panel Monday.
