Police Identify Man Killed in Overnight Fire

PANAMA CITY - Panama City Police have identified the man who died in a mobile home fire overnight.

Firefighters responded to the Buena Vista Mobile Home Park at 1320 Buena Vista Boulevard around 11:30 Wednesday night. After putting out the flames, they found the body of 39-year-old Sean P. McDuffie in the back bedroom. The Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled McDuffie died of smoke inhalation.

McDuffie was the boyfriend of the woman who owns the mobile home. She and another person made it out alive.

Firefighters say an unattended pot on the stove caused the fire.
