Escapee Nabbed

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies say an escaped inmate is back behind bars.

Thirty-six-year-old William Eric Jackson was a federal inmate being held in the Washington County Jail in Chipley.

Authorities say he climbed the fence and escaped.

Jackson County deputies spotted Jackson in a 2000 white Jeep Cherokee on U.S. 90 near Marianna and stopped him.

He was arrested without incident. Jackson is originally from Marianna but was being held for federal marshals in the jail at Chipley when he escaped.
