Topping this week's roundup is an adorable musical toy chair that can be deadly to children. It’s called the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Musical Learning Chair. 614,000 of these chairs are being called dangerous because a child can become lodged between the seatback and side table of the chair, possibly leading to their neck getting caught. This can strangle a child.
Fisher Price has received three reports of young children getting their necks lodged between the seatback and the side table of the toy, including one report of a child receiving a welt on his neck. They were sold at toy stores nationwide for about $27.
You've probably put away your holiday lights by now, but pull them back out if you have these. Target is recalling its mini-light and chasing light sets. About 861,000 sets are being pulled from the shelves because they have undersized and exposed wires which could start a fire. They were sold at Target stores nationwide during the last holiday season.
And finally, lots of people use Pilates to get in shape, but if you have a Pilates ball like this, stop using it. Over 34,000 of these exercise balls by L.T.D. Commodities are being recalled because the black clips at the end of the rubber tubing can come apart when in use. This could make you fall while you're trying to exercise. They were sold in catalogs for about $9.
