Man Given 20 Years for His Part in Robbery of Lottery Winner

Circuit Judge Michael Overstreet sentenced Rossi Armstead on Friday to 20 years in prison followed by 10 years probation for robbing a Florida Lottery winner in her Panama City home.

Armstead, 23, was found guilty as charged of being a principal to home invasion robbery with a firearm, principal to kidnapping and grand theft, has to serve a 10 year minimum mandatory. He would not receive credit for good behavior during that time.

Armstead was one of two men who forced their way into Linda Marie Wilson’s home the morning of Aug. 31, last year and demanded her lottery winnings at gunpoint. The other man, Kelvin Mack, has not yet resolved his case and is scheduled for trial later this year.
