Fire Damages Seclusion Beach Home

No one was injured when a mid-morning fire broke out at a Panama City Beach home.

The Panama City Beach Fire Department responded to a home on Seclusion Road after neighbors reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the chimney.

The owner is reportedly out of the country. No one else was in the home when the fire started.

Officials don't know for sure what caused the blaze, but say there is smoke damage throughout the home.

Capt. Jonathan Kibler of PCB Fire Rescue says there was a lot of damage.

“Inside it's going to be smoke damage throughout the house the fire place and that area is destroyed and there is going to be heavy fire damage up in the attic."

Firefighters say the fire may have started in the attic and faulty electrical wiring could be the cause of the blaze.
