Two Arrested for the Manufacture of Meth while Children Present

On Sunday, Walton County Sheriff’s Office Investigators secured a search warrant for the residence located at 190 Little Creek Trail, in DeFuniak Springs; located in the New Harmony community.

The search warrant was obtained after Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigators and deputies accompanied Department of Children and Families to investigate allegations of methamphetamine manufacture with children present.

Based on the discoveries and information gathered during the initial investigation, a search warrant was prepared for the residence.

Upon the execution of the search warrant, investigators discovered items conducive with the manufacture of methamphetamine including, muriatic acid, sodium hydroxide, lithium and camp fuel; along with an excess of approximately 800 grams of methamphetamine oil.

A small amount of finished product methamphetamine was seized along with items of paraphernalia used in the manufacture process.

21 year old Tyler James McCarter was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, cultivation of marijuana and possession of narcotics equipment.

35 year old Pamela Dawn Dennis was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of narcotic equipment.

Both suspects reside at 190 Little Creek Trail, Defuniak Springs, and were arrested in relation to the methamphetamine manufacturing and narcotic equipment located at the residence.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are possible.

Both subjects were transported to the Walton County Department of Corrections for booking and first appearance.
