PANAMA CITY BEACH - Attention Kmart shoppers. The Kmart store at the Hathaway Bridge flyover (West U.S. 98 and Thomas Drive) is closing.

Sears Holding Company, which owns Kmart , says the Panama City Beach store will close for good in January.

The Kmart in Callaway closed about 2 years ago. This leaves just one Kmart in Bay County. It is located on Lisenby Ave at 15th Street in Panama City.

The store closure is part of a series by Sears Holdings, Inc. to reduce overhead, according to spokesman. There are 54 employees at the PCB Kmart. They can apply for jobs at other Kmart and Sears stores.

The Beach Kmart will begin a liquidation sale on October 27th.
