PANAMA CITY BEACH - The Florida Ironman has attracted competitors from all over the world, including royalty.
Sheik Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Sheik Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the two sons of the Crown Prince of Bahrain, will compete in the race on Saturday. Their caravan of black, Cadillac Escalades arrived Wednesday morning at Boardwalk Beach Resort.
The Bahrani royal family landed in Pensacola Sunday night. They did not land in Panama City Beach because Northwest Florida International Airport does not have the ground support equipment needed to service a Boeing 747-400.
Multiple sources have told Newschannel 7 the royal family is staying at The Pearl on 30-a in south Walton County. We understand they have rented most, if not all the rooms.
