The mother of a Florida Highway Patrolman has died from injuries she suffered in an area traffic crash on Wednesday.

Killed was 77 year old Annie L. Drake of Westville.. She was the mother of Sgt. David Drake of the F-H-P. She died at Flowers Hospital in Dothan following the crash in Holmes County at the intersection of State Road 79 and State Road 2.

Mrs. Drake was a passenger in a car that was struck by a pick up truck. The truck driver, Gary W. Coia of Bonifay has been charged with violation of the right of way and driving with faulty equipment
