Panama City police are looking for a suspect in a shooting. It happened a little after 8:00 Tuesday night near the corner of East Avenue and East 11th Street.
Police say a 17-year-old boy was walking toward his home on Oak Hammock Drive, when a man dressed in black, came up behind the boy and tried to rob him.
The teen ran toward his front door, but the robber shot him before he could get there.
The bullet passed through the teenager's right ankle. He was treated and released from a local hospital.
Police are still looking for the suspect, described as a young black man dressed in black.
