A 19-year-old is dead after hitting a fence just south of Chipley in Washington County around 3:30 this afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the single fatal crash involving Christopher Neal Deuerling happened at Joiner Road just east of State Park Road.

They say the 19-year-old was on a 2003 motorcycle when he crashed into a barbed wire fence.

The man from Alford, Florida was traveling eastbound on Joiner Road when he made a hard right as the road curved south.

He drifted off the edge and went through the ditch, hitting a barbed wire fence. He was thrown from and the bike flipped over the fence.
