The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place just before 10 yesterday along the Destin Harbor.

Witnesses say 23-year-old Stephanie Little and her friends were watching the fireworks on the docks near Emerald Grande Tower in Okaloosa County when it happened.

Deputies said the girl from Florence, Mississippi suddenly clutched her shoulder and fell to the ground after being shot. Little was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

According to Okaloosa sheriffs, she is doing fine. They say it appears someone randomly fired a weapon into the air, and the bullet struck Little on its way back down.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-853-TIPS.
