A local judge has ordered a Panama City man held on 20-thousand dollars bond in connection with an overnight stabbing. Detectives charged 47-year-old Lester Eugene Jenkins with one count of aggravated battery.

They say Jenkins showed up at KJ's Lounge on M-L-K Boulevard Sunday night and had a run-in with the club's doorman. Apparently Jenkins didn't want to pay the cover-charge.

When the confrontation got physical, police say Jenkins pulled out a box cutter and slashed the doorman's face, neck and body.

The victim was treated, then released from a local hospital.

Detectives say Jenkins arrived at the hospital sometime later for injuries he received, and that's when he was arrested.
