One man is dead after a collision overnight in Walton County.

The accident occurred on State Road 2A about five miles east of State Road 83.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 51-year-old DeFuniak Springs resident Herman Walker was driving a Mack tractor westbound on 2A. He lost control around the curve and his truck traveled into the eastbound lane in the path of 38-year-old Eric Buharp's vehicle, also of DeFuniak springs.

Both drivers attempted to avoid a collision, but Walker's truck overturned and slid into Buharp's vehicle. Buharp did not survive the crash. Other passengers in Buharp's car were listed in serious condition.
