There won't be any major changes to the off-campus lunch policies for Bay County high schools.
There had been calls to close all campuses and make students eat in the lunchroom following the death of a local high school student during lunch earlier this school year.
Emily Tuthill was killed while returning from an off-campus lunch on the first day of school this past fall.
After a meeting Monday morning with local principals, Bay County Superintendent of Schools James McCalister decided not to make any changes to the current policy.
"We leave the policy as is, meaning that that principal has the authority to close the campus at anytime for juniors or seniors or all students."
