Two people died in an early Sunday morning head-on Crash at Panama City Beach.
The mishap occurred on Back Beach Road at DeLuna Place at 4:15 a.m. It was less than 200 feet from the western city limits of Panama City Beach.
Killed was a 44-year-old man whose identity is being withheld. He was the driver a Jeep that was on the wrong side of the divided four-lane highway.
The second fatality was identified as 31-year-old Christina Pistel of Lohman, Missouri. Her Husband Kevin, 32, and their son Chase, nine years old, were both critically injured.
The Pistel family members were passengers in a van driven by 26-year-old Justin M. Davis of Jefferson City, Missouri. He was also injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the Jeep, driven by the still unidentified man, was headed east in the westbound lanes of Back Beach Road when both vehicles collided head-on.
Meanwhile, Sunday night around 6:30 p.m. two elderly pedestrians were killed when hit by an SUV on Highway 98 in Mexico Beach in eastern Bay County.
The mishap occurred on US 98 in front of the Driftwood Motel.
The fatalities were identified as 82-year-old Frederick Resen and his 76-year-old wife, Margaret. The two are from Connecticut and were winter vacationers in Mexico Beach.
Mexico Beach police said because of traffic conditions neither the couple nor the driver of the SUV that struck them were able top see each other until the last second.
The SUV driver was identified as 72-year-old Frank Stevens of Eastpoint.
Mexico Beach Police are investigating.
