Springfield child killer Christopher Brian Morrison has lost another round of appeals as he tries to avoid spending the rest of his life in prison.
The First District Court of Appeals has once again rejected Morrison’s claims the life sentence he was handed for the beating death of three-year-old Chance Keesler was illegal.
The Springfield child died from his injuries in 2001. The child’s mother was Morrison’s girlfriend. He was so severely beaten his liver was split in half.
Morrison claimed the child’s injuries were accidental.
