Castleman Pleas No Contest

A Springfield man accused of a double murder will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Fifty-one year old Bryan Keith Castleman pled no contest Monday to two counts of second degree in the deaths of his wife and her father.

Investigators believe Castleman killed 48 year old Mary Ann Castleman and 74 year old Leroy Minnich on November 23, 2012.

But it took 3 days for a neighbor to find the bodies inside of the Castleman's mobile home off Transmitter Road.

Castlemen beat both victims with a hammer and stabbed them.

During Monday's plea hearing, prosecutors said Castleman acted with a depraved mind.

Judge James Fensom accepted Castleman's plea, then sentenced him to two consecutive life sentences.
