The Faith Health Clinic in Marianna is the recipient of a $75,000 dollar grant.
The organization provides free health care for low income families.
For the last seven years, the small clinic has been providing medical care for sick people who couldn't afford it.
One of those families is the Bischert family.
"My daughter is an epileptic. We started coming to Dr. Andem when she was 14 and wrote he prescriptions and counseled her because she was very depressed," Bonnie Bischert said.
The Bischert's were uninsured and struggling to get adequate care.
Then, they found the Faith Health Clinic in Marianna, and Dianna Bischert says it changed her life. "It's giving me a chance to have my own life, a chance I would be able to find someone special that doesn't look at me like a freak or something."
To insure the clinic continues its work, the Blue Foundation, an affiliate of Blue Cross and Blue Shield is donating a check for $75,000 dollars.
Susan Wildes, with the Blue Foundation said, "We look at the people they take care of and we know right away that the work that they're doing and the care they're providing is desperately needed in this community."
However, Dianna isn't the only person getting the care they need at the Faith Clinic, and officials say the grant will help them serve many more.
"We should be able to register 2000 to 3000 more people this year, " Faith Health Clinic Dr Efiong Andem said.
The clinic is already serving 5000 people.
The grant will also help supply medicine for patients who can't afford it.
The Blue Foundation also presented a check for $90,000 dollars to the Calhoun County Health Department.
