All seven of the candidates gathered Thursday night at the Washington County Ag Center in Chipley to talk about the issues. The candidate forum was sponsored by the Panhandle Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Coalition, or PANDAAP.

The organization supports efforts to educate the community about drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse, so most of the questions addressed those issues, especially their affects on young people.

Tom Lewis moderated the session. A crowd of nearly 200 people showed up to hear the candidates Bobby Haddock, Gene (Holley) Halley, Greg Hutching, Virginia Ruschmeier, Michael Walker, Rick Warden and Chris Welch address the issues.

This is the second in a series of these forums sponsored by PANDAAP. The first was held in May, featuring the 10 candidates for the Jackson County sheriff's race.
