Wildfire Threat Continues in Florida

After a very dry March in much of the state, state officials are once again warning residents about the threat of wildfires.

The threat is such that the Florida Division of Forestry is not issuing burn permits until the wildfire threat diminishes.

Over the weekend, a fire on Garcon Point in the Panhandle consumed 375 acres near Interstate 10 before it was contained.

Meanwhile, firefighters also took on blazes in Pasco County, the Camp Blanding area and south Florida this weekend.
