One person is dead and another is in serious condition after a head-on motorcycle accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol says two groups of bikers, one in a poker run traveling west and the other headed east on Highway 388, hit each other Sunday afternoon in the Burnt Mill Creek area.
Troopers say 59-year-old Richard Lee Miller was coming around a curve, lost control and clipped a motorcycle ridden by 37-year-old Paul Edward Smith, who was headed in the opposite direction.
Forty-eight-year-old Michael Allen Ingram was driving ahead of Smith and swerved to Miss Miller, causing Ingram to overturn his motorcycle as well.
Miller died on the scene. Smith was hospitalized in serious condition and Ingram sustained minor injuries.
