The Bay County sheriff's office is looking for a local woman reported missing by her family Sunday.

Nancy Garrett's husband says he last saw his 63 year old wife at 12:30 Sunday afternoon -- just before he left to meet a group of friends. When he returned home around 6:15, he says she was not there.

Because his wife has mentioned earlier going for a walk in the old Forest Park area, Mr. Garrett went looking for her. When he could not find her, he called the Bay County sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office K-9 unit searched and Air Unit flew over the area, using infrared to search for Mrs. Garrett, but found no sign of her.

Nancy Garrett has brown, medium length curly hair. She is five foot three and weighs 126 pounds.

Anyone with information about Nancy Garrett is asked to call investigator Mitch Pitts at the Bay County Sheriff's Office at 747-4700, ext. 2626. Or call CrimeStoppers at 785-TIPS.
