When the economy gets tough almost everyone starts cutting back, especially on those little indulgences.
It now appears three Starbuck's coffeehouses in our area are falling victim to corporate cuts.
Earlier this month Starbucks announced it was closing almost 600 stores nationwide. Two of those are in Walton County, the Main Street store in Rosemary Beach and the Watercolor store.
The third is the Shalimar location in Okaloosa County. The customers of those stores can't understand why the shutdowns are necessary.
Kellie Hardie, a Starbucks customer, said, "We're here four or five times a week, very surprising that this would be one of the ones that they would close."
Avery Hardie added, "I don't get what the point of closing is. They're so good and everybody really likes them all."
Starbuck's corporate officials have now announced the exactly closing dates for the three stores.
