A former shop teacher from Sneads High School will serve one year behind bars for inappropriate conduct with some of his students.
Tommy Stoutamire pleaded guilty today to four counts of child abuse, two false imprisonment charges, one battery, and three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. The four students in the case were between the ages of 14 and 16.
Stoutamire will serve one year in the Liberty County Jail, followed by 15 years of sex offender probation. He will also have to relinquish his teaching certificate.
Stoutamire will be allowed to have contact with his own children and grandchildren.
