Bay County Commissioners Look at Building Plans

By  |

Bay County commissioners were presented with several possible designs for the county complex being built on the 16 acres of land off 11th Street in Panama City.

The x-shaped building could house major county divisions on the ground floor, like the tag office, building permit offices, and the property appraiser. Administrative staff could occupy the top five stories.

At least one county commissioner would like to see the county offices separated.

Bay County Commissioner Jerry Girvin says, "My personal preference would be a lot of single buildings."

Commissioners will review the proposed design and take up the topic again in a future commission meeting. The county complex is scheduled to be completed by 2008.
