Dog-Napping Probe Continues

There’s been a new development in the case of those dogs stolen from a Cedar Grove pet store.

Several of the 12 puppies have been recovered but the thief is apparently trying to get rid of the puppies at all cost. Friday night someone found one of the Rotweiller pups in a dumpster, nearly dead from dehydration.

A total of four of the twelve puppies stolen from the Cedar Grove Pet Cottage on East 24th Plaza are now back home. Eight are still missing.

The dozen pups were stolen when someone broke into the pet shop Monday night and took the $10,000 worth of puppies.

Four Rotweillers, 3 Yorkies, 2 Shitzus, and 2 Pug puppies and one adult Yorkie were swiped.

Several witnesses have reported seeing a woman drop a dog over a fence, and offer free puppies to school children.
