Two Local Traffic Fatalities Overnight Saturday

The Panama City Police Department says it has not yet identified the victim of a late Saturday evening traffic accident.

It happened at about 9:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Highway 98 in St. Andrew.

Authorities say an unidentified Hispanic man was crossing 98 on foot when he was hit by a car and killed. According to police, the driver was a Blue Ridge, Georgia resident Kelly Collins.

No charges have been filed and the accident is still under investigation.

Meanwhile some five hours later a similar accident on Back Beach Road claimed the life of a West Bay man.

Panama City Beach police investigators say 45-year-old Robert Earl Duck was walking along Back Beach Road at Colony Club near the intersection of Evergreen Street when he was hit by a car. Duck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver has been identified as 26-year-old Fountain resident Amber Donaldson.

Beach officers say the crash is also still under investigation.
