Former Arnold High School Athletic Director Able To Teach In Florida

Former Arnold High School Athletic Director Karisa Wesley will still be able to teach in Florida, if she decides she wants to return here.

The Department of Education's Office of Professional Practices has investigated inappropriate behavior allegations against Wesley and has declined to take any action against her.

Last year Bay District School Officials suspended Wesley with pay, while they investigated claims she had sex with an Arnold football player 2 years earlier.

Superintendent Bill Husfelt recommended the board fire Wesley.

But she resigned from both the Arnold Athletic Director's job and her teaching position, before the district completed the investigation.

The district turned over the information to the state, which has now decided the to case is closed.

Wesley is reportedly teaching at a school in Birmingham.
