Pensacola Man Finds Five Dogs Killed, 10 Horses Shot

Authorities say a Pensacola man returned to his home to find five of his dogs fatally shot and 10 of his horses injured.

Escambia County sheriff's officials say all the dogs, English Setters, died as well as at least one horse, a seven-week-old colt.

Several horses also were missing.

Desmond Davis says he returned to his 113-acre property Monday night to find a chain on his fence cut and the lock missing.

A spokesman for the Sheriff's Office says the wounded animals were taken to a veterinarian for treatment.

It's unclear what the motive was for the shooting.
