Caryville Accident

Two persons are dead and two others are in critical condition after a horrible traffic accident on Interstate 10 near Caryville in Holmes County.

The mishap happened on the Choctawhatchee River Bridge at the mile marker 103.

State troopers say a pick-up truck traveling in the eastbound lanes crossed over the median. It then crashed head on into a westbound minivan. The pick-up then went over the side of the bridge.

The passenger in the pick-up was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as only as Lopez. The driver of the minivan, who was critical, died the next day. She was identified as 54-year-old Carolyn BoBo of Northport, AL.

Investigators say the pick-up truck, driven by 55-year-old Clifford Coley of Decatur, GA, was carrying some kind of chemical that started a brush fire.
