The Coast Guard came to the rescue of a Wakulla County boater who became ill aboard his fishing vessel.
Authorities say 47-year-old Michael Hampton of Crawfordville had to be flown from his 44-foot fishing vessel over the weekend after complaining of abdominal pain and vomiting blood.
The Coast Guard says Hampton was about 50 miles southwest of St. Marks.
The Coat Guard flew Hampton to Panama City, where he was taken to a hospital. Hampton's condition wasn't disclosed.
