The son of a Grand Ridge man has been killed in Iraq.
Twenty-eight-year-old Staff Sergeant Jason Ramseyer was killed last week. A suspicious mound he was investigating exploded and hit his legs with shrapnel.
Ramseyer is survived by his wife, two daughters both under the age of three, and both his parents.
The soldier’s dad, Jimmy Ramseyer, lives in Grand Ridge in eastern Jackson County.
