One of the owners of a Panama City Beach towing company is behind bars for allegedly stealing a car.
Beach police have arrested James D. McEwan. Investigators say McEwan took possession of a vehicle, stolen from New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.
They say he arranged for a false title, and then he and his business partner used the vehicle.
He's charged with forgery, vehicle title fraud and grand theft auto.
McEwan owns Bay Value Towing Service on Middle Beach Road. Police say they've been investigating the business for four months.
