Local political activist Kevin Wood is out of jail Monday after being released on his own recognizance.
Wood was arrested last Wednesday after failing to show up in court for sentencing on a DUI conviction.
Bay County Judge Michael Haversburk released wood Monday afternoon with the stipulation he must show up for sentencing Tuesday.
Wood has run unsuccessfully twice for the Bay County clerk of court job and has been an outspoken critic of current clerk Harold Bazzel and former Sheriff Guy Tunnell.
