Friday night a Holmes County sheriff's deputy was shot during a burglary investigation.
It wall began when Sgt. Michael Raley pulled a suspicious looking man over, but the suspect sped away. The chase was on, and while chasing the suspect, Michael Bryan, began firing at Deputy Raley with a 12 gauge shot gun.
One of the blasts made it through the Sgt's window, hitting him in the head.
Bryan abandoned his car and a manhunt, involving several assisting departments, got underway.
Bryan was eventually found in a near by home and arrested with out any issues. He is being held in the Walton County Jail tonight in Defuniak Springs. He'll eventually be transferred to Holmes County and face several charges including attempted murder.
Sgt. Raley's shot to the head is being called non-life threatening. He’s been released from the hospital in Bonifay.
