A 55-year-old Defuniak Springs man died in a weekend traffic accident in Okaloosa County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Glen E. Sconiers died on Interstate 10 near the eastbound rest area at mile marker 59.

Troopers say it appears that Sconiers may have possibly had a heart attach, drifted on the shoulder of the interstate, then into the grass shoulder where he struck a pine tree.

Sconiers was found by a passer by slumped over behind the wheel and unresponsive.

The mid-afternoon Saturday is still under investigation.
