Vernon Man Dies in Weekend Crash Save Email Print

A Vernon man died at the scene of a single car crash in Washington County early Sunday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol identified the fatality as 29 year old Jeremy J. Berg. He was a passenger in a car driver by his older brother, 33 year old Timothy C. Berg that failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road into a ditch and crashed into a culvert.

The mishap occured at 4:20 AM Sunday on Washington County Highway 284 west of State Road 79.

Tim Berg was life-flighted to a Pensacola hospital in serious condition.

Jeremy Berg died at the scene.

Charges are pending.
