State Attorney Steve Meadows says he has hired Guy Tunnell to help resolve 48 murder cases pending in the six county area of the 14th Judicial Circuit.
Apparently he’ll be working with law enforcement agencies handling g each of these cases.
Meadows says Tunnell’s 33 years of law enforcement experience will be invaluable.
Tunnell has recently become a controversial figure. Last month he resigned as head of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after Gov. Jeb Bush asked for his resignation.
It came after several highly publicized incidents involving investigations into the state Department of Corrections and the Martin Lee Anderson Boot Camp death case.
