One Dead, Two Hurt in Military Helicopter Crash in Panhandle

A military training helicopter crashed near an air base in Florida's Panhandle Tuesday, killing one of the three people aboard and injuring the other two.

The Navy says the TH57 helicopter crashed in a heavily wooded area five miles west of Whiting Field near Milton in Santa Rosa County during flight training.

Training flights usually carry three crew members, an instructor and two students.

The cause of the crash is not known.
