Is Jeb Bush really the best governor in America?
That’s the conclusion of “The Weekly Standard.” The magazine put Bush on their cover this week along with an article that concludes the governor has a “remarkable eight years of achievement in Florida.”
But Bush isn’t taking the accolades too seriously.
“Flattering. Subjective. You know, Time magazine called me a mediocre celebrity governor or something like that, so I think you probably have to take all this stuff, add it up and divide it by the number of people that have an opinion.”
The magazine says Gov. Bush would be the prohibitive front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, if he wanted the job. But Bush says he won’t be a candidate.
