Another Bay County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured early Sunday when a motorist hit him as he ducked for cover from the approaching vehicle.
The incident happened just before four Sunday morning at Back Beach Road and Moylan Ave where the roadway had been closed off due to a crime scene of a hit and run rear end crash.
Deputy J. M. Duggins was at the intersection during traffic control when a car driven by 22 year old Lindsey Bobo of Panama City Beach drove up, went passed the deputy’s patrol car with it emergency lights activated and ignored orders from Duggins.
Bobo drove the car around the deputy forcing him to jump for cover. The right potion of Bobo’s Scion struck the deputy as he was trying to get out of the way.
Bobo was cited for Driving Around A Traffic Detour Barricade.
24 hours earlier, Deputy Scott Frazier had a motorist crash into his patrol causing at least $10,000 in damages and some minor injuries.
