Employees are still hard at work at Cedar Grove town hall despite Tuesday’s yes vote to dissolve the town.

Town officials tell us, it’s business as usual until they came come up with a dissolution plan. It could take up to 90 days.

And until the town actually dissolves, it's still a town which means you still have to pay your bills like you normally would.

"Cedar Grove is not just going away. We're still going to have day-to-day operations which will require employees," Tony Brannen, a Cedar Grove commissioner said.

Bay County is sending in a transition team over the next couple of weeks to help Cedar Grove commissioners will the dissolution plan.

"As far as Cedar Grove actually being dissolved Friday that doesn't happen then," Valerie Lovett, Bay County's public information officer said.

If you think you will get out of having to pay your property taxes, think again. Earlier this year when the taxes were assessed Cedar Grove was still a town.

"The Cedar Grove taxes will be included on the property tax bill that will go out for '08. Cedar Grove is still a city, was a city as of January 1st," says Peggy Brannon, Bay County's tax collector.

Commissioners are hoping to have a smooth transition, but legal action could halt their plans. The Cedar Grove canvassing board will verify the dissolution vote tomorrow.
