Okaloosa County health officials are waiting for test results to determine how a creek in Crestview has been affected by a sewage spill.
In the meantime, residents are advised to avoid all water activities where Juniper Creek meets Raspberry Road until further notice due to the spill on Sunday.
Crestview Department of Public Services Assistant Director Wayne Steele say about 3,000 to 5,000 gallons of untreated sewage may have leaked into the creek from the city's pump station on Raspberry Road.
Samples are being tested, and officials say the results will tell them more about the affects to the creek.
Steele says the leak was caused by a cracked pipe which has since been repaired.
