Walton County is the latest county in northwest Florida to enact a total burning ban.
Bay County adopted a similar measure last week following a rash of major woods fires in the area.
Now, neighboring Walton County has banned all outdoor burning until further notice. The emergency ordinance does not include charcoal or gas grills.
It also does not include fireworks on the Fourth of July. However, if the county does not get significant rainfall in the next two weeks the county will consider banning all fireworks except for public displays.
