Washington County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a Thursday night hit and run on Strate Road 77 just north of Chipley.

The victim, a 44 year man, reported that at approximately 8:20 p.m. while riding his bike along the highway, someone screamed obscenities at him and hit him with their vehicle’s car door.

EMS transferred the victim to Air Heart where he was transported via helicopter to Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.

The victim is currently in stable condition and expected to be released from the hospital within the next couple days. The victim was unable to give a description of the subjects or vehicle that hit him.
