A silent auction was held last night to benefit autism.
The 11th annual George Butchikas Foundation for Autism silent auction was held at Angelo’s Steak pit in Panama City Beach last night.
The auction had everything from kayaks to jewelry up for auction to raise money for the George Butchikas Foundation.
Several people packed Angelo’s to show support and join in the auction.
Carolyn Butchikas along with her husband gave out a 10 thousand dollar check to the Bay Co. Academy.
The only autistic needs school in Bay County.
The bay-co school opened this year, and Cindy and Nick Bay co-accepted the check on behalf of the school.
Carolyn Butchikas was excited that event was a success. "We're very excited about the Bacot academy and the school project, the children, and just pleased with the turnout. Bay county and the community how they have come together for me is just unbelievable."
The auction items were donated by several local businesses, and Angelo's co-sponsored the event.
The Bay-Co School is located on Ohio Avenue in Lynn Haven.
