Police say they ended a crime spree with the arrest of 33-year-old James C. Cooley.
Cooley, who has an extensive arrest record, is charged with two armed robberies, one home invasion robbery, and three counts of drug possession.
Panama City Police say Cooley forced his way into an elderly man’s home on East Avenue around 4 a.m. on Monday. He allegedly pulled a silver handgun on the 74-year-old victim and robbed him of his cash and a personal check.
Investigators say they were able to tie Cooley to the robberies by his clothing description. They say his girlfriend also gave them details on each of the crimes.
Cooley's been arrested 12-times before, spending three years in prison for some of those previous offenses.
